We've come a long way since the days of handwritten letters and envelopes. Unfortunately, many office personnel can spend half or even all of their day preparing a simple mass mailing. Even the sporadic handful of letters can add up to a lot of distraction and wasted effort during one's week.
This module reduces the mailing process to just a few simple steps. In the university I built this for, various users would often run a database report and then follow up with some form of communication with the given set of students. This module allows them to collect a "batch" of ID's from any report and send them directly to a pre-formatted template. From there, they can have all their customized letters and envelopes printing with the press of a button. No more Excel spreadsheets, no more finicky labels!

This project was for a client managing medical services. Their services involved a variety of clients, employees and resources. Coordinating all these moving parts is a complex process to say the least!
Fortunately, this is just the sort of complexity that databases can simplify. The resulting database gave our client a central solution for scheduling and tracking these "moving parts."
